Stainless Steel Power Braid Flex  D.O.T. Hoses - Now you can eliminate spongy pedal feel and stop in a shorter distance. Inline Tube power braid hoses can be made for any application. Hoses can be made longer or shorter than stock hoses and for any caliper or disc brake conversion. Whether you are making a brake upgrade or just doing necessary maintenance, stainless hoses will increase the performance of your braking system. Street rods and custom applications can be made with just a phone call. Provide the sales staff with the length of the hose, caliper type and brake line size, and your custom hoses will arrive a few days later. You can choose between a clear coating that shows the braiding or a black coating that provides a more stock-looking appearance. Stock applications are listed below.

Inline Tube stocks hundreds of Power Braid Stainless flex hose applications that are a perfect finish to any brake upgrade.  They provide a high-tech appearance, while improving brake pedal stiffness.  Hoses are also made for all custom applications.  For custom applications, please remember to specify caliper type, length, and fitting sizes. Hoses are available in both black and clear.

Power Braid ® incorporates a special design for high strength and minimal volumetric expansion. It starts with a Teflon core which is wrapped in a Kevlar braid, followed by an elastomer barrier. It is then strengthened further by the outer stainless steel braid. Power Braid® hoses are also available with a final coat of clear or black vinyl for a great look and easy clean up.

The Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) has developed a set of standards, (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard), to which all flexible hoses must perform without failing under extreme conditions. In order to be certified, the hose must pass the "whip" test. Power Braid® hoses have proved outstanding under testing conditions and surpass D.O.T. requirements.

Stainless Hose Tips:
When ordering stainless hoses, remember to check the inlet size of the calipers. These inlets change for GM, Ford and aftermarket calipers. GM uses 7/16 banjos on 1978 & older calipers and 10mm banjos on 1979 & newer calipers. Fords typically use 3/8 banjos and most aftermarket aluminum calipers have a pipe thread inlet. All banjos require crush washers on both sides to seal the hose to the caliper.

Chevy Hose Notes:
All hoses are for stock factory cars.  All 1967-68 GM factory disc brake cars have dual piston calipers. All 1969-72 GM factory disc cars have single piston calipers. All 1964-72 GM disc brake conversions use single piston calipers. Cars using late model or aftermarket calipers are not listed above, although these special applications are available. Truck Hose Notes:
All hoses are stock length. If your truck is lifted, extended hoses are available. To get an accurate length, you may measure the suspension travel with string or rope. Put the suspension through its full travel (up and down) and steering (side to side) and add one inch to the overall dimension. Extended hoses are $5.00 additional each hose for every 4 inches of lift.
GM calipers have a metric or a standard size banjo bolt, depending on the year of the caliper. Be sure to verify the year of the caliper if the truck is modified.

All hoses are for stock factory cars.  All 19 67-68 GM factory disc brake cars have dual piston calipers. All 19 69-72 GM factory disc cars have single piston calipers. Quick Tip: Stainless Braided Hoses

Stainless Flex Hoses - The most common problem with the hoses is the wrong end fitting banjo. A 10mm is used on 1979 and newer GM cars, and 7/16" on 1978 and older GM cars. Since so  many calipers are mixed up at the auto parts store when cores are returned, make sure to check the caliper size before ordering hoses.
